Job Description:

The University of Northern Iowa’s Department of Computer Science seeks applications for a temporary Assistant Adjunct Professor of Computer Science, starting August 2026. This position will teach the three-credit course CS 1410 Computer Organization on campus from 6:30 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a face-to-face class taught on campus; remote work is not available for this position. The course examines computing machinery at various levels of abstraction, including representations of data, digital logic, memory, CPUs, buses, I/O, instruction sets, and assembly language programming. It is a core required course on all majors and minors offered by the department.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in computer science or related field required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching at the university level; and experience teaching Computer Organization or a similar course at the university level preferred.
