A reputable, multi-location agricultural cooperative in Iowa is seeking a Feed Manager to lead and grow its feed division. The role will oversee operations, team leadership, and business performance across feed manufacturing, sales, and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the feed department, including production, inventory, and distribution
- Manage P&L, budgeting, and financial performance to meet growth and profitability targets
- Lead, coach, and develop a team across mill operations and feed sales
- Ensure quality control standards are met for all feed products
- Maintain compliance with safety, regulatory, and industry standards
- Build and strengthen relationships with producers and key accounts
- Identify and drive new business opportunities within the feed segment
- Coordinate logistics, ingredient procurement, and supply chain efficiency
- Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning and operational improvements
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in feed, grain, livestock nutrition, or related agriculture sector
- Prior leadership or management experience required
- Strong understanding of feed operations, formulations, and/or mill management
- Experience managing budgets and financial performance (P&L responsibility preferred)
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in feed production
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
